"The attached image is a visual representation of the individual's Four Pillars of Destiny, illustrating the elemental balance and symbolic aspects of their chart."

Today, I analyzed the Four Pillars (SaJu) chart of someone with a Xin-Wei (辛未) Day Master. The most dominant element in this chart, as reflected in the image above, is Water (水).

In Four Pillars, the position associated with one's mental state and life outcomes is heavily influenced by Water in this chart. This can lead to frequent feelings of melancholy or emotional instability. Additionally, instead of seeing the positive aspects of situations, this person is more inclined to notice flaws and focus on the negative.

Water in this chart also represents the outcome of social actions. As a result, even with steady effort and perseverance, achievements may not be immediately visible. The overpowering Water element suppresses Fire (火), which governs professional life and relationships with superiors. This suggests that the individual may find it challenging to work in structured organizations and is likely to experience frequent conflicts with authority figures.

Structural Analysis of the Five Elements

1. Metal (金) – The Self

The most notable feature of this chart is the weakness of the Metal (金) element, which represents the individual’s sense of self and decisiveness.

Metal symbolizes determination and personal fulfillment. When weak, a person may struggle to maintain control over their financial and career decisions, often being influenced by external circumstances.

Like a knife, Metal must be sharpened through action and decisiveness. However, in a chart where Metal is weak and Water is strong, the knife rusts and loses its edge, making it difficult for the person to fully express their abilities.

When Fire with a luminous quality enters the chart, it can enhance Metal, allowing for greater self-fulfillment and success. However, if excessive Fire with a volatile nature appears, it may cause intense internal and external conflicts.

2. Earth (土) – The Suppressing Force

Earth (土) in this chart is also quite strong, and it represents thoughts and contemplation.

  • A strong Earth element can hinder decisiveness, making it difficult for the person to take action.
  • They may also struggle with understanding their own desires, leading to indecisiveness and internal confusion.
  • To balance this, an influx of Wood (木) or Metal (金) would be beneficial, as these elements weaken Earth’s restrictive nature.

3. Fire (火) – Professional Life and Responsibilities

This chart lacks Fire, which governs structured environments, authority, and professional responsibilities. However, starting in 2025, Fire energy will become significantly stronger.

  • 2025 (Yi-Si 乙巳 Year): Fire with a luminous quality will enter, creating opportunities for career growth and organizational engagement.
  • 2026–2027: A more aggressive Fire energy will emerge, which may lead to intensified conflicts in workplace hierarchies. This period requires careful management of professional relationships.

Decadal Luck Cycle: Major Shifts in Perspective

Starting in 2025, the decadal luck cycle (大運) will change, bringing significant shifts in values, thought processes, and environmental influences.

  • The introduction of Fire from 2025 to 2027 will challenge the individual’s usual approach to responsibility, hierarchy, and structured environments.
  • In 2026–2027, a strong clash between Water (壬) and Fire will occur, increasing the likelihood of conflicts in social and professional settings.
  • Although this person does not outwardly express emotions through words or actions, silence and unspoken gestures can still be perceived as forms of communication. Awareness of this dynamic is key to preventing misunderstandings.

2025 Annual Fortune: A Year of Career and Financial Management

2025 introduces both Pian Cai (偏財, indirect wealth) and Zheng Guan (正官, structured authority).

  • This signifies an increased focus on managing finances or career-related responsibilities.
  • The likelihood of joining an organization or taking on a more structured role is high.
  • Given that this chart has a strong Earth element, leveraging specialized skills and professional qualifications will be crucial for success.

Family Role and Responsibilities

Unlike the traditional nurturing role of a mother, this individual’s energy aligns more with the father figure’s role in the household.

  • Interestingly, in a previously analyzed Four Pillars chart, their spouse had a more maternal disposition. Thus, reversing traditional roles may be a beneficial approach.
  • While they can provide unconditional love to their children, they are also well-suited to teaching practical values such as financial management and relationship skills.
  • Given this, it may be more effective for them to handle the education of financial and social matters rather than their spouse.

Key Takeaways from the Chart

Weak Metal (金): A lack of decisiveness may lead to being easily influenced by external circumstances.
Strong Earth (土): Excessive contemplation and anxiety can hinder movement and decision-making.
Absence of Fire (火): From 2025 onward, Fire will strongly enter the chart, bringing professional and social shifts.
2025 as a Year of Professional Growth: Specialized skills and structured opportunities should be embraced.
Family Dynamics: The person is better suited for practical and financial guidance rather than traditional nurturing roles.
