Today, I examined the Four Pillars (SaJu) chart of a young child who has just entered elementary school. The child's parents were concerned that their learning progress seemed slower compared to their peers. Upon analyzing the chart, I found that the child's energy was primarily dominated by Earth (土) and Water (水), much like the AI-generated image above.

Although Fire (火) and Metal (金) exist in the chart, they are distant and lack the strength to influence the flow of energy effectively. This imbalance suggests that the child learns at a slower pace and may struggle to adapt to rapid changes. However, once they have learned something, they retain it well. While the process of producing visible results may be slow, the child has great potential for long-term growth.

Therefore, the most crucial factor in supporting this child's learning is to avoid rushing them and instead create an environment where they can absorb knowledge at their own steady pace.

Interpreting the AI-Generated Image

The image above portrays a majestic and steep mountain, which reflects the child's personality and social tendencies.

  • Interpersonal Relationships: Just like a towering mountain, this child may find it difficult to connect with peers easily. However, at the same time, they possess the ability to be a strong and reliable presence for those around them. While social interactions may not come naturally, they have the potential to develop deep, supportive relationships over time.
  • Balance of Earth and Water: The strong Earth energy in the chart naturally tries to block the flow of Water. If harnessed properly, this can translate into strong financial and practical abilities. However, since Water is also dominant, Earth alone cannot fully control it. This creates an internal conflict between the two elements, as seen in the image.
  • The Role of Fire: The most effective way to harmonize these conflicting energies is the introduction of Fire (火) energy. Fire strengthens Earth, making it solid and stable enough to manage the strong Water energy. Without sufficient Fire, the child may struggle with focus and direction, often pursuing interests that others might dismiss as trivial. Additionally, they may frequently change career aspirations or areas of interest.

Decadal Luck Cycle: Major Phases of Life

This child will enter a strong Wood (木) phase from the age of 12 to 32.

School Years (Ages 12–22)

  • The Wood element opens pathways for Water to flow, influencing the child's self-esteem and role within school life.
  • However, because the child's original Four Pillars lack Wood, they may experience challenges related to social interactions, rules, and responsibilities.
  • Wood represents people, social expectations, and obligations, which means they may struggle with friendships or school dynamics. Close attention and emotional support from family will be necessary to help them navigate these challenges.

Adulthood (Ages 22–32)

  • This phase will be influenced by structured careers and workplace responsibilities.
  • As the burden of obligations increases, managing stress will become a crucial factor for success.

Post-32 Years: The Growth Phase

  • At age 32, the long-awaited Fire (火) energy enters, bringing significant life progress.
  • This period marks a shift toward specialization and professional expertise.
  • The ability to gather information, utilize resources, and form meaningful connections will improve, leading to greater financial opportunities.
  • Strong Fire energy will stabilize Earth, enabling better control over Water’s influence. This suggests that post-32 will be the most pivotal period for the child's growth and success.

Personality Traits and Parental Guidance

  • The child may aspire to achieve quick results in academics and social settings, but their natural pace is slow and steady.
  • Encouraging consistent effort without rushing will be the most effective way to support their growth.
  • They may struggle with setting clear goals for their studies or finances, often feeling unsure of where to direct their efforts. Parents can play a crucial role in helping them establish concrete objectives and avoid distractions.
  • The child has a strong attachment to possessions and financial security. While this can be an asset, it also increases the risk of engaging in speculative or gambling-related activities later in life.
  • To prevent this, parents should instill a healthy mindset regarding money management and financial responsibility from an early age.

Key Takeaways from the Chart

Dominant Earth (土) vs. Water (水): A natural struggle between stability and fluidity, requiring balance.
The Importance of Fire (火): Strengthening Fire will help solidify Earth and regulate Water, bringing focus and direction.
Wood (木) as a Secondary Solution: While it can help stabilize Water, it also introduces stress related to social obligations and expectations.
Best Growth Strategy: Slow and steady progress will lead to strong and lasting expertise rather than immediate success.
Parental Role: Encouraging consistent learning, goal-setting, and financial responsibility will be essential in guiding the child's development.
